Friday Jan 4″ – Honolulu
Arrived by the port of Honolulu
at 6 A.M. and docked about
7.30 – After breakfast walked
over town to South King St. – and
took the rapid transit car to
Waikiki Beach – Called at the
Seaside hotel on Mr. and Mrs. Short
who still manage the hotel –

Went over to the Royal Hawaiian
Hotel and from there to the Moana
Hotel – then returned down town
where we purchased a bathing suit
and bathing slippers for father.
At the Hawaiian Hotel met Mr.
Short who is in the office there also
met some people from the steamer –

Returning to the steamer for
lunch – we returned down town
and took a car ride in through
Nuuanu valley and returning
rode out through Manoa valley
