line are seemingly packed to-gether
as closely as possible.
Possibly thousands of natives are
born – live and die in these flat
boats and seldom if ever go
ashore –
The view of the harbor from the
steamship as she lays??? at the
pier is beautiful – The placid
water and the many islands
offshore with the ??? are ???
here and there – make a beautiful
picture –
Singapore has been a delightful
surprise to us – Beautiful harbor,
homes – gardens and not??? a few
fine builidngs with it numerous???
nationalities thronging its
streets – each person seemingly
a personality here made a
deep impression on us.
as the sun gets lower a cool
