Transcription

Immense oriental rugs of
great size were on the floor
but folded so we walked on
the wrong side – but one was
unfolded so we could see how
soft the pile and colors were.
The chandeliers were large
and many, and hung full
of cut glass prisms.
At the extreme end we were
shown a brass plaque with
engraving – said to be the tomb
of a former Sultan –
The attendant said “one was
dead??? here and one in England”.
Returning through the
jungle road we planned to
visit a rubber factory – but
a heavy rain prevented us ???
leaving the car – so we stopped
