In the evening the Malslo??? which
sailed from San Francisco
twenty hours after we did –
passed us about 8.30 P.M.
She was brilliantly lighted –
In the morning at 11 0’clock we
had a little church service on
deck – The purser presided and
and the speaker was a Prof. from
Berkley who is on his way to
Palestine to do excavating at
a buried city near Jerusalem –
The music in the afternoon
and in the morning was beautiful.
Monday Dec 31″ – 1928.
Glorious weather and getting
warmer – On deck most of
the time.
In the evening had a little
New Years Eve celebration.
Music and dancing and
a suppers in the dining
