We have a party of sixty
university students – who came
aboard at Hong Kong en route to
Singapore. They are a fine looking
lot of boys and girls.
Weather partly cloudy and
humidity high here –

Arose at 7 A.M. as we sail at 8.A.M.
for Manila – A warm night –
The sampans sailing boats and
ferries pass us as we lay at the
wharf – and just before we sailed
a French Passenger Steamer
Gen’l Metzinger from Marseilles
came up to pier close to us –
It is a large, beautiful steamer
(suggest a change)
