4.P.M. we sailed for Honolulu.
Quite a large party at the Pier,
44, to see the steamer leave –
We have a nice large state room
No. 109 on the Promenade Deck.
Had a nice dinner – all
waiters Chinese – they look
quite picturesque in their
long white robes.
They are attentive and
efficient however and we
like them. Our table is No. 5.

About rising time we ran
into heavy swells that con-
tinued all day –
Weather cool and clear –

A smooth sea with bright
sunshine. Which lasted all…
