Carson Pirie Scott & Co., often abbreviated to Carson’s. Carson’s was a chain of traditional department stores in the United States, primarily based in Chicago. The company was renowned for its flagship store in downtown Chicago, which was housed in the iconic Louis Sullivan-designed building at State and Madison streets from 1904 until 2007. During the late 1920s, Carson Pirie Scott & Co. would have been a major shopping destination in the city.
