After breakfast went to the
American Express Co. Office
to ask for a cable message.
It was in the mail dept.
and had been sent Care-
Barclay’s Bank not far
away. So we walked over
there some distance and
after a wait of nearly half an
hour the business was com-
pleted and as it was noon
we ate some lunch at a little
restaurant near by. Then
walked over to the “Tower of
London.” We did not wish
to see it all as there was
too much stair climbing.
So we visited the “Crown
Jewels” of the Empire. Kept
in this tower under guard
all the time.
