where we were all stopped to enter
and exchange for foreign money –
Then we proceeded to the shopping
district.  The tiny shops so close
to-gether the fantastic signs the
crowds of natives filling the streets
the clap clap of the wooden shoes –
the strange sights made me think
of a huge bazaar – our procession
stopped often so some child could
be picked up from the pavement
to allow the populace to pass –
Soon we arrived at the Wi?? Silk
House – a tiny place which we
entered – only  to be shown the tiny
crooked stairs to the second floor
where we inspected silks and
pearl beads – also Kimonos
and Haori coats – Then we
walked farther while our
rickshaw men followed – and
later we entered our tiny but
