Saturday Feb. 9″
A hot uncomfortable night.
After breakfast took juriki-
shas to go down and do
some shopping.
Not wholly successful??? – but did
buy some beautiful linen –
a table runner + oblongs
embroidered in color by
the Chinese.
At 10.A.M. we bit goodbye
to Mr. Winkler and the Fire-
sontes who go to Burma.
A very hot uncomfortable
afternoon.
After the gang way was taken
down they came close to the
steamer to watch us sail
then walked away waving
frequently until they reached
the corner where they turned-
Viewed the beautiful harbor as
(suggest a change)
