seemingly a story book from
the time we approached the
harbor – dotted with innumerable
sailing boats and sampamn –
to the close of a happy day
the sparkling lights came on –
The evening on board was chaotic
because of the disturbance caused
by two drunken passengers –
The Giant John Aasen and his
manager. They were finally
put off – the latter to be taken
to a hospital to have attention
for a broken arm and ribs caused
by a fall down an open hatch –
We sailed about midnight.
Saturday Jan 19″–
Rather a peaceful day after
the turmoil on the steamer
last night. Weather cold
and clear – staid in on
account of a bad cold –
At 5 P.M. our steamer entered
(suggest a change)
