Went to bed in the afternoon
sick with a cold: so had dinner
in my room.
Thursday. Jan 17″-
a much more quiet night and
rested better – A smoother – calmer
sea – and sun shining brightly –
Cold is better – so am up and
was down to breakfast –
Mailed letters to the children
stamps to be cancelled “at sea”.
Also sent a box of toys from the
“Captain’s dinner” decorations.
Friday Jan. 18″ Kobe Japan
Arrived in sight of land near
Kobe early in the morning.
Cold and bright. About noon
arrived off quarantine – and
Japanese officials came on board.
