Went out to lunch at 1 P.M.
returning to the hotel about
3 P.M. then rested in the afternoon
as we were going out in the
evening.
After dinner at a restaurant took
a taxi and motored to the
“Folies – Bergere” to see the “Folies
Review” It was fine and lasted
until about midnight with
one intermission of about fifteen
minutes: when most of the
audience went out to the large
room filled with tables and
chairs to accommodate those
who wished to drink.
The theatre is a gorgeous
affair with bright red carpets
and chairs – The seats of the
latter are very comfortable as
they tilt to the movement of
their occupant.
The lighting was brilliant. On
the high ceiling there being
many large circles??? of lights
