noted buildings – “the place de – la
Concordi” being the largest City
squaare in the world – and was
formerly the place of Gothic
executions. Saw the Arc de
Triomphe  de l’Étoile” where the
tomb of the “Unknown Soldier”
is seen. The tomb is covered with
fresh flowers and at one end
a light is burned – This light
is supplied from pertrol tanks
below and is said never goes out.
Also visited the “Palais du Tro-
cadero” – near which is the Eiffel
Tower. Then drove to and visited
the “tomb of Napoleon” in the
Hotel des Invalides” Also visited
the Church of the “Madeline”
lighted only by windows in
the roof.
On our return to the hotel stopped
at a restaurant for lunch.

to our hotel.
