At home this is Inaugura-
tion day for Herbert C
Hoover – Calvin Coolidge
retiring. With us it is a
cold rainy day with a
piercing wind – and not
a promise of sunshine.
We arose at 6.45 A.M. and
had an early breakfast as we
had planned with Rev. + Mrs.
Taylor to take the Amalfi
drive around the mountain
visiting Sorrento also – but the
bad weather has changed it all.
so we went shopping – took
a cab and drove through the
shopping district. bought a
nice suitcase as a present
for Frederick.
