“Stop! a radio message is
being received”.
??? a very few moments an-
other messenger came and
gave the Captain a message –
The latter read it and then
said – “Stop it”.
It was a tense moment and
very dramatc- The officials
turned away – the body was
tenderly lifted from the board and
taken back to the hospital
room where it had lain.
The Captain said “I am very
glad. I did not want to
bury him at sea. I have
waited 24 hours for this
message”. The Dollar Co. had
ordered it stopped. The tenseness
was over and the company scattered.
