Friday Mar 1″ – 1929.
Cold and windy so steam
has been turned on.
Wrote a letter to Mrs. Foote
and before I had finished
The Purser Mr. Seaholm (???)
stopped at my desk to say
the old doctor King had
just died at 10A.M. of
cancer.
Did packing to try to finish
with it. Bright sunshine
but cold and windy.
Every one of the passengers seem
saddened by the death of the
doctor.
Saw a beautiful sunset
with clouds and a glow on
the sea seemed to reach to the
steamship. Then it gradually
faded away.
