Thursday, Feb. 28″
Very cold and windy.
Almost frustrated by the
sudden drop in temperature.
Rested most of the day –
then packed ??? times.
Forty eight passengers left
us at Suez and Alexandria
and but a handful of new
ones – so the ship appears
quite deserted.
Played “bridge” a little
while after dinner with
Mrs. Nichols and Miss
Levinger (???) a nurse from
Manila enroute to New York.
(suggest a change)
