Friday Feb. 22″
Before breakfast when on
deck the Captain invited
Geo. and I to come up on the
bridge and see the chart.
So we went up into the wheel
house and chart room.
It was all very interesting
and such a delightful breeze.
The captain explained the
chart and showed us where
the lights on shore were indicated
and where the channel was
4000ft. deep.
After breakfast watched
some of the deck contests
being played off.
After lunch played “bridge”
with Mr. + Mrs. Elliot of
San Diego – Calif. Until 4.15
